TIAA Henderson Real Estate and Palmira Capital appointed for German logistics mandate

Growing appetite from investors for German logistic assets has led to the launch of a new separate mandate which will invest in core and premium logistic assets across the country. The “Investoren-Club-Fonds German Logistics” has been launched on behalf of a group of German institutional investors.

The venture will target assets across Germany, where the investment criteria - regions with gateway functions, sustainable future prospects, etc. - can be met. The target volume for each asset is above €7m. TIAA Henderson Real Estate (TH Real Estate) and Palmira Capital Partners, have been appointed as asset managers for the Fund, which is administered via the platform, Kapitalverwaltungsgesellschaft Institutional Investment Partners. They will carry out asset management for the portfolio. Palmira Industrial Management GmbH will act as property manager.

Thorsten Kiel, Fund Manager, German Logistics, TH Real Estate, said “We are excited to be a part of this new venture. Its central location, first class infrastructure, affluent population and export orientated economy make Germany one of the leading global logistic locations. Having identified how rapid growth in e-commerce is shaping demand for logistics and warehousing facilities, we committed early to exploring how real estate investors could gain exposure to this growth and have now amassed a global logistics portfolio of over €1bn. This appointment by “Investoren-Club-Fonds German Logistics” is testament to the reputation that we’ve built in this niche but maturing asset class.“

Issued by Henderson Real Estate Asset Management Limited, 201 Bishopsgate, EC2M 3BN. Authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.
